About this IT position

eu-LISA is the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, that has the responsibility to manage and support all the IT infrastructure, develop new applications and guarantee the IT security of the European Parliament and Council of Europe.

The IT challenge

As a Senior IT Business Consultant your responsibilities will be:
- Provide senior consultancy support and conduct studies on technical, as well as strategic issues, regarding information systems and IT processes
- Provide tactical as well as strategic direction setting
- Coordinate the business requirements definition for current and future systems
- Business continuity management processes including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk assessment, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), business continuity testing, exercising and testing
- Business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies
- Carry out high-level management studies
- Provide strategic guidance with regard to technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT
- Provide recommendations on improving the structure and efficiency of an organisation's IT systems.

Skills required

- Mandatory to have a EU27 nationality and no criminal record.
- Available to work on-site in Strasbourg if necessary even during COVID.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings, good communicator
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working are mandatory
- Capability of working independently, as well as in teams
- Client orientation.

- Experience in carrying out high-level management studies
- Capability to provide recommendations on improving the structure and efficiency of an organisation's IT systems.
- Experience in formulating business and software requirements
- Ability to write/speak/understand English (Level C min.), French is an asset
- Certified or Member-grade of membership of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or equivalent BSI ISO22301 Lead Auditor Qualification (could be an advantage).
- Itil v3 Foundation (could be an advantage)
- Price2 practitioner / PMI (could be an advantage)
- CCBA/CBAP certification (could be an advantage)
- Knowledge or certification of the following could also be considered as an advantage : BABOKv3, ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018, TOGAF

Salary and Conditions

Location: Strasbourg, FR

Salary up to: 600€/day

- The salary/daily rates presented are the maximum as a freelancer when meeting all criteria.

- You will be hired by an IT consulting company that has a contract with the eu-LISA, your services will be outsourced to the eu-LISA.
